How a Hopeless Drunk Found Effective Addiction Treatment, Got Sober and Got His Life Back
...and how YOU can too!
One man's search for the very best addiction treatment leads to an unexpected new freedom. Come along and see what I learned about alcoholism stages, the ten warning signs of alcoholism, and more.
| For people who think they may have a problem with addiction but are not sure what to do about it, and truly want to be free of the chains of addiction, New Freedom shares thoughts on alternative "addiction treatment" methods and helps problem drinkers live a fulfilling life..
Having personally been through the ringer and emerged on the other side, we have real-world understanding of how painful an addicted life can be.

When I was confronted with the possibility that I may have a drinking problem, I was not sure what to do. I jumped on the computer and started searching. I found some promising information on alcohol addiction rehab treatment programs, but they were pretty expensive. Looking back, they would have probably been a good option, but I was in denial about how bad my problem had gotten.
Being budget conscious, I first searched for free drug addiction treatment programs. The information I found was overwhelming, ranging from lists of the symptoms of alcoholism to blogs about heroin effects.
The information was all there, but I needed to dig it out. Over time, I educated myself and got a handle on what I was facing.
But...I'm getting ahead of myself. Let me back up and share a little about what started this journey for me.
Pain! Hopelessness! Shame! Anger! Fear! Regret!
These emotions ruled my life for years. A battle with addiction raged within my mind and body...and I was losing.
Every morning, I looked in the mirror and hated the person staring back at me. I had broken yet another promise. "I won't drink today...just one day." But I always did.
"Do you want to look for some sort of addiction treatment?" my wife asked.
I just wanted relief from the pain...and I got it!
When the pain was unbearable and the prospect of another catastrophic day was all I could see, I asked for help. My path has been my own. We all have a unique story and dig our own special pit.
The trail out of the abyss is different for everyone, but it always starts the same way...asking for help with no reservations and being willing to do ANYTHING to get sober (or clean).
Getting sober was not easy for me. In fact, putting down alcohol was one of the hardest things I ever did. The rewards have been amazing, though. The peaceful life I lead now is well worth the struggles I endured early on.
We all have demons of some sort. For some of us those demons are alcohol. For others, they are drugs...cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription pills, marijuana, food, sex, gambling or some nasty combination.
At first our demons are friendly. They are cute and cuddly like pets. But eventually those pets turns on us. They grow claws and teeth and try to rip out our throats.
THERE IS HOPE!
If I can beat addiction...or at least control it for today, anyone can. That includes you! You simply have to want to be healthy more than you want your drug...and find a framework to build your sobriety on.
